Okay, so I'm guessing you figured out that there was no wifi there by now. I don't know what it is about the location, but the hotel frankly was not the best.
The TV didn't even work, and there was cracks in the walls. And there were NO lights. Just a window.
One room had a permanent black charred iron print on the carpet where someone obviously dropped it, which was pretty funny.
Anyways, it was like, REALLY fun. I met Natalie, who was adopted from China, and Alexa, whose mother was Korean and moved here in ninth grade knowing no English.
But EVERYONE had little quirks and their own stories to tell. I mean, if you get focused on something that half of the teenage population doesn't care for, you have to be off in some way.
Not that that's a bad thing. At all. If you know me, I am VERY off. XD
But it was so different from Washington D.C., because everyone basically lives in this area. Which means I may actually see them again. Weird, huh?
Most of the people I met were from Kansas, but there were some people from our area.
The class was really fun, but the most frustrating things I have ever done. I spent two whole days on something that pretty much turned out nothing like I wanted.
BUT, I got to work on a Mac. I have never done that before. I have always liked them more than PCs, just saying. And the monitor was about two times the size of a normal one, so we could clearly look at our magazine spreads in real view. And the WINDOWS.
KU is beautiful. Not as pretty as other colleges I've seen, but it is REALLY beautiful.
The buildings have SO many windows, and I loved it.
And the special collections library is fantastic. They have EVERY edition of Ulysses ever printed. The first is in the vault, along with a paper signed by Queen Elizabeth.
It looks really cool.
I'm biased though. Most of the kids weren't interested, but I sure as heck was. XD
It was an obvious marketing scam for KU, hoping you'd fall in love with the college, and I really enjoyed it.
I'm still not planning on going there, but I liked it. 83
And sorry for no pictures lately. I didn't actually take my camera there, but my parents brought it up on the way home. I'm not completely comfortable with having Ronald in public. It makes me uncomfortable. XDD Like, I get either really weird looks, or really nasty stares. Especially with adults. They assume my parents bought it for me. Is it my fault that I apply myself beyond my age?
Will some pictures of a pet store suffice?

Some scary parrot that almost bit me.

The cutest chillaxin ever. You bet I pet and picked most of them up. ;D

When we got there, they were feeding the giant tortoises.
Jacklyn fed them some lettuce, but that's not her hand.
Those things are VICIOUS, man. They could've snapped your finger off.
And notice how the big one is completely squishing the small one. LOL.
This was probably the funniest. That is turtle poo.
The main guy helping us feed them was telling us how much alike to cow patties they are.

In the car on the way home.
KANSASSS.
But I'm pretty sure I got my greatest shot of all time on the way home.
This literally makes me smile every time I think of it. Makes me feel special. XDD
But, the title is what MAKES this.
THE GREAT OUTDOORS

Do you SEE? Is it just me? o_0
Makes me think of Natalie, too, because she wants to either be a chemical engineer, or a lawyer that specializes in suing companies that are ruining the atmosphere.
I don't understand math people. XD
They're very nice, but I don't understand them. o_0
